Herklin Amaro
Senior Herklin Amaro was born in Salinas, but spent five years of his life being raised in Hidalgo,Mexico by his grandparents. He has one older sister and lives with both mother and father. Expressing himself through writing he joined the journalism class.
He enjoys running, reading, and playing soccer. He is also part of the cross country team. He states proudly, “My best cross country time is 17:53 (3 miles) and my best mile time is 5:01.”

Herklin is a 4.0 student who enjoys history and science, and he is also part of the M.E.S.A. and CSF club. M.E.S.A. club is where you design and build projects to compete with other schools at UCSC. CSF club is a scholarship federation where you do community service projects for inside and outside school. He is planning on attending UC Santa Barbara and is planning on majoring in Computer Science.
