Hobbies: Playing volleyball, going on runs (He joined cross country this year), eating, cooking, and listening to music.

Latest Accomplishment: Joining cross country 

Goals: He wants to go to a university preferably Cal Poly SLO. He wants to be an architectural engineer and wants to play volleyball in college, he also wants to learn how to surf.

3 words that describe you: Athletic, laidback, smart

Why did you join the newspaper/yearbook? “I Joined because I wanted to see if it would be a good fit for me also to gain new experiences.”

Likes: Spirit week because he likes participating in it.

Dislikes: When people make chewing noises/ chews with mouth open, eating cake (he thinks it’s so sweet especially frosting), He hates sleeping late and then having to wake up early. 

Idol: Yuki Ishikawa

Favorite season: Spring’s his favorite season because volleyball starts again

Favorite song: “Suspicious Minds” by Elvis Presley, but it changes day to day 

Favorite artists- Danny Lux, Thee Sacred Souls

Favorite Quote:  “I’m just here to be myself.”- Karir Irving

Fun fact: He is left handed and a bit ambidextrous.

Against Soledad on September 30th, Nayeli Gil-Silva and Sara Neumann blocked an attack from Soledad, scoring a point for the Trojans. “I love contact sports and when I'm blocking it makes me feel like I'm telling the other team, ‘You can’t do that!’”  The Trojans beat the Aztecs 3-0.

At Pinto Lake in Center Meet 3 on October 17th, Gustavo Perez finished first with a time of 15:44. “It was our first time running that course,” Perez said, “I didn’t know what to expect but going into the race it was very hilly. Being able to still run 15’s makes me feel proud.”
