A new singer is added to the Barden Bellas, her name is Emily (played by Hailee Steinfeld). In theaters now

The lovable and popular Minions from the Despicable Me movies are used by a villain, Scarlet Overkill, in a plan to take over the world. Ant-Man

Ant-Man

When a criminal con man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) obtains a suit from his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), he must use the suit and the enhanced strength it gives him to become a hero. Another film that will add to the Marvel movie world, this film is an adaptation of the comic book series published by Marvel. This is the first attempt at an Ant-Man movie Marvel has ever made, and it’s safe to assume that he will more than likely become an Avenger in the near future.  Evangeline Lilly stars as the daughter of Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, Hope Van Dyne. Also, Corey Stoll plays the hero Yellowjacket. Howard Stark makes an appearance in the film, he is played by John Slattery. Release Date: July 17, 2015

The dynamic duo of Adam Sandler and Kevin James appear as lead roles in this film, along with other actors such as Peter Dinklage and Sean Bean. Michelle Monaghan stars as Violet Van Pattern and Josh Gad also plays a role in this film. It’s fun to see classic video game characters like Pac-man trying to take over the world. Mission Impossible

Mission Impossible: Rouge Nation

Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team of spies take on their most dangerous mission to date, taking out a rouge organization called the Syndicate. A sequel to the very popular franchise. Cruise’s reoccurring role as Ethan Hunt is very satisfying to see, and hopefully this movie is as successful as the previous films. Jermey Renner, best known as Haweye from the Avengers, reprises his role as William Brandt. Also, the hilarious Simon Pegg stars once again as Benji Dunn. Release Date: July 31, 2015

Fantastic Four

Fantastic Four

A young group of scientists gain superpowers after an experiment goes wrong. Once they learn to control their powers, they must use them in order to save the world. Yet another movie based off of the Marvel Comics. Although not technically part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it should give more credit to Marvel because of the popularity. Hopefully this film is much more successful than the last two movies. Miles Teller stars as Dr. Reed Richards. Michael B. Jordan plays Johnny Storm. While Kate Mara plays Sue Storm, more commonly known as The Invisible Woman. Jamie Bell stars as Ben Grimm, a.k.a. The Thing. Michael B. Jordan playing the Human Torch has created some “controversy” because he’s African-American. In the comics, the Invisible Woman and the Human Torch are siblings (and blond caucasians), so I’m curious to know how they are going to pull it off in the movie. Release Date: August 7, 2015

Hitman
