Nadia Perez is a 17 year old senior who was born and raised in Salinas, California. She is the second oldest out of five children. Her favorite sports are track and field and cross country. She has done cross country and track every year. In cross country and track she does long distance.  According to Nadia, “I like running because there are a lot of times when I don't believe in myself but I still work really hard in practice and after giving it my all sometimes I surprise myself by all the things I end up achieving.”   

After school she goes to cross country or track practice or to band practice. After that she likes to watch YouTube videos, preferably makeup videos. Her favorite artists are Shawn Mendes and Ed Sheeran. Her favorite song is “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. Her favorite color is pink and she likes animals.

Nadia decided to join journalism because her friend encouraged her to join and told her it’s going to be a fun class.

After high school, Nadia is thinking about attending Sacramento State. She wants to study to become a doctor or a nurse, but she still wants to keep running after high school so she's looking into that. She’s in her second year of band, where she is learning how to play the tuba.
